A few words about me

Welcome to my short site!

I am a strong proponent of the transformative power of the right mindset, exponential technologies, and a collaborative spirit.

With an Investment Banking professional expertise and Electrical Engineering academic background - a PhD from Imperial College London - I turned to an Entrepreneur & Advisor. I also have a strong passion for nature.

For the past 15 years, I specialized in investment services and products that extract real value from the markets in a scalable manner - designed & built the tech and ran the business to do so. First in Academia, and then in top tier Investment Banks where I was also responsible for all required business & governance and offering them to Institutional clients globally. I have been responsible for managing approx. GBP 2bio AUM of investments and have built 160+ investable strategies & indices.

In the past years, my focus expanded to the Sustainability / Impact space, as the most exciting paradigm shifts in our lifetime. I currently sit at the board of an organization turning Corporate Responsibility into an Impact investment tool.

Since entering the startups domain (as employee and then a Founder), I participated in some of the world's leading accelerators and programs (Techstars NYC, UK FCA Regulatory Sandbox, Accenture Fintech Innovation Lab London, Kickstart Zurich, Velocity by UK Investment Association, etc.).

This awarded me with lasting relationships around the globe with leading professionals, entrepreneurs, investors and other ecosystem participants.

I enjoy R&D, writing, and public speaking. I have spoken publicly and moderated panels on topics related to my expertise - Digital Transformation, Sustainability / Impact Investing, AI, Wealth Management Technology, Blockchain - in prestigious industry and academic conferences organized e.g. by The Economist, New York University, Robo Investing, Structured Retail Products etc.

E-learning is another force for good, as it makes education abundant. In 2018, my company launched the world's first Structured Investment - fully legal and compliant under the UK's FCA - to clear and settle on a public blockchain and have been featured as an expert blockchain practitioner in INSEAD's Coursera course on Blockchain in Financial Services: Strategic Action Plan.

I am skilled in Strategy, Entrepreneurship, Investments, Capital Markets, Regulation, Technology, Finance, Business Development, Fundraising, Product Management, and Structuring Securities, with an additional focus on Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, and cryptocurrencies. Significant expertise in tailor-made investment strategies - with strong quantitative and analytical skills obtained through an Electrical & Electronic Engineering PhD, focused in Signal Processing Methods for the Modeling & Prediction of Financial Data from Imperial College London.

Found my self on countless trading floors in many of the world's financial centers (London, Hong Kong, New York, Zurich, Paris, etc.) during my 10yr Investment Banking career in Derivatives Trading and Structuring in FX, Commodities, and Precious Metals and then as a fintech entrepreneur.

Here, speaking at the Third Sustainability Summit for SE Europe & the Med of The Economist on technology and innovation as drivers for change, to 500 participants in Athens.
Value creation has to be redefined and capitalism has to step up, if humanity still wants a future. I printed a Tshirt stating "No Planet - No Business" and wholeheartedly stand by this statement.

After launching the world's first Structured Investment on a public blockchain, I was invited to contribute to INSEAD's Coursera course on Blockchain in Financial Services: Strategic Action Plan, as an expert in blockchain technology. I spoke at length about Regulation and what the future may hold with INSEAD's Deputy Dean, Peter Zemsky.
